About CheMatech

Enabling the next generation of radiopharmaceuticals

At CheMatech, we believe that the success of a radiopharmaceutical starts with the right chelator.

For over 20 years, our team has been at the forefront of chelation chemistry, designing and synthesizing high-performance chelators that enable precise targeting, improved stability, and optimal in vivo behavior. Today, CheMatech stands as a unique partner dedicated to advancing nuclear medicine through innovative chemistry.

From early discovery to clinical development, we support our partners in overcoming one of the key challenges in radiopharmaceutical design: identifying the optimal combination of chelator, radionuclide, and targeting vector.

What We Do

From molecule design to clinical application

CheMatech brings together deep scientific expertise and industrial capabilities to support the full lifecycle of your project:

Custom synthesis

We design and produce tailored chelating agents, from early-stage concepts to scalable processes, supporting your project from milligram to kilogram scale.

Chelator portfolio

Our extensive catalog of macrocyclic polyamines and bifunctional chelators is available from stock, enabling rapid evaluation and accelerated R&D timelines.

Bioconjugation services

We provide advanced bioconjugation solutions to generate targeted conjugates for nuclear medicine applications. Our expertise covers site-selective conjugation (cysteine, lysine, click chemistry) and enables the design of robust, stable, and application-driven bioconjugates. We support our partners in selecting the optimal conjugation strategy to preserve biological activity and ensure optimal in vivo performance.

cGMP production

As a specialized CDMO partner, CheMatech offers cGMP-compliant manufacturing services for the production of chelators, intermediates, and bioconjugates. Our capabilities include process development, scale-up, and production in a controlled cGMP environment, ensuring regulatory compliance, reproducibility, and product quality suitable for clinical applications.

Collaborative innovation

We actively contribute to international research programs, working alongside leading academic and industrial partners to shape the future of nuclear medicine.

Why CheMatech

A unique expertise in chelation chemistry

In radiopharmaceutical development, small chemical differences can lead to major biological impacts. The choice of chelator directly influences stability, biodistribution, and ultimately clinical performance.

Our expertise allows us to:

  • Optimize chelator design for specific radionuclides
  • Tailor conjugation strategies to your biovector
  • Support early screening and decision-making
  • Enable robust and scalable processes for clinical translation

We don’t just supply compounds — we help you make the right choices, earlier.

Speed, Reliability, Performance

Most of our products are available from stock, with delivery within 24–72 hours across Europe and within one week worldwide.

We combine scientific excellence, operational agility, and cost efficiency to support fast-paced R&D environments.

Our Story

CheMatech was founded in 2005 by Dr. Frédéric Boschetti and Prof. Franck Denat, building on decades of research conducted at the Institute of Molecular Chemistry of the University of Burgundy (ICMUB, France).

Born from academic excellence and driven by industrial needs, the company has grown into a recognized partner in chelation chemistry, radiochemistry, and bioconjugation.

In 2016, CheMatech expanded into a new 400 m² facility, including a dedicated cGMP laboratory to support the production of GMP-grade starting materials and intermediates for clinical applications.

Our Mission

Removing chemical barriers to innovation

Our mission is simple: to ensure that chemistry is never a limitation in the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic solutions.

By providing innovative chelators, tailored solutions, and expert support, we empower researchers and companies to bring the next generation of radiopharmaceuticals to life.
